Valvec mirror, replacement glass holder?

Was driving down the wonderful Indiana turnpike when my passenger side mirror detached. This was the glass with plastic holder, the holder had tabs that snap into the adjustable electric body. Looks cheaply made. Anyway to get just the plastic holder? Frustrating.

I clipped a semi, or he clipped me, happened on the 91 freeway at the 15 exchange here in So Cal. They have signs, "lanes narrow". Who's the rocket scientist that made that move? Anyway, my glass popped right out, trying to get off the freeway with no right mirror was harrowing. I used my back up camera to see a car passing on the right. As soon as the car cleared my windshield and another hadn't entered my field of view, I merged one lane. Yes, I'm that good, ha! It's in the shop now

You can go to the Velvac sit and download a technical document on how to disassemble the mirror and also get a parts list. C

Call Velvac and they can help you get the part.

A toll booth jumped out at me and broke off my passenger side mirror. Made it to my destination and contacted Velvac. The expedited the part to my location and I was up and running in a couple days.

From my point of view, they need to consult with a mechanical engineer, maybe a material science expert too. The design I have is junk, fell apart driving. ...
