Video from dash cam i95 through NYC - 40' diesel pusher

http://vimeo.com/hmmllc/review/40625653/062a9452f5

I was traveling Eastbound from Bloomsburg PA thru NYC to Warwick RI, on one of my runs and decided to video tape the ride thru NYC. I dropped one of our camera on a tripod between the front seats and set the camera to head level.
This is a 40 min travel time sped up to about 3 minutes. You can see the trip from NJ on I80 heading east to I95, across the GW bridge and the cross Bronx expressway up and around to the East tolls heading to CT. If you haven't done this ride, make sure you stay bolt everything down....

I do this trip a bunch of times every year.

cheers
geo

Good video but I sure would hate to do that route very often.

Nice video, however piece of cake, compared to LA Freways moving bumber to bumper at 70 MPH.

We live in northern NJ so we have been in the same route as you lots of times.

I love the people driving in the middle lane holding up traffic. I drive to the eastern part of the state (city) every day, commute about 100 miles a day and it amazes me the people who ride the middle lane.

Great video !

I lived up there when I first started driving. At 17, I would drive anywhere without hesitation. Now, at 60, I think I'll stay out west...but NOT California!

Thanks for the journey down memory...uh...I-95

I use to drive that way before the interstates in the sixty's, it looks just as bad. Fun to watch.

Such a neat video - worried about the height of some of those underpasses but you seemed to make it just fine. Enjoyed

Never have been lucky enough to get through there with so little traffic. Started using Tappan Zee on my trips south.

Was that real time? Reminds me of LA last time I drove the freeway there if it was. I was doing 80, bumper to bumper and motorcycles were passing us between the lanes. LOL

Your video shows why I tell people to use Google maps BEFORE they go through a large city. Lots of confusing signs and exits on both sides of the highway.

It was obvious you had been through there before because you were getting into the correct lane pretty far ahead of when it came up.

Oh...have some scrapple for me when you get home....I'm from Williamsport.
