This is our return trip from our 1st snowbird adventure and we are loving it!!
Do I wish we had slides? Well, yeah, that’d be nice. Do I wish we had a 42 footer with a tag axle, four slides, side radiator and a king bed? Heck yes!!
So we’re looking as we go, but for now we’re good.
Here she is...1997 Rexhall RexAir, all 32 feet! LoL!!

We found a 2000 model Rose Air by Rexhall. Fell in love with it and bought it in 2017. No regrets.

Love this thread, since we bought our DP my wife and I are really into looking for older rigs. She is always looking on FB marketplace and while we are out and about always keeping our eyes open.

Nice looking Navigator. Those had some nice lines and good build quality.

Interior features walnut cabinets. Power is a Cat 330 hp/3060 Allison we will be towing one of our drag cars on an open trailer Featherlite and also using it for road cycling getaways. One thing I want to so is replace the faded green coin stair entry so looking for ideas on that. Also starting the task soon to get a brake controller set up, probably a Prodigy 2 to work correctly and not be influenced by the exhaust brake so I can get my Featherlite behind it.

We removed the faded rubber coin mat entry in our '97 Beaver Patriot. I installed mirror finish stainless steel side panels and then LVP flooring for the stairs. I finished the leading edge with rubber nose from the big box. I installed LED strip lights under the wood moulding so they're hidden and make the whole entry stairs glow. Sorry for the not very good picture.

Thanks 97Patriot for your input , exactly what I have been thinking. Took the wife and looked at HD 2 nights ago, thinking I will do the sides in the same material as the steps (pl400 glued on). I also believe the door gap at the bottom (door to sill) is just large enough to clear that LVP. A few people looked at our Patriot and told the owner they would "think about it" I think the faded stairs and scratched up top at the the console cabinet scratched up by dogs turned people off. I don't mind a few small projects, but then again owning any coach new or old there is always something to do.

That's absolutely correct! There is always something to do no matter if it's new or old! I am more likely to "modify or remodel" an older one though than I think I would be on a new one.

I have just whizzed through all 16 pages of Vintage RVs. For me Your GMC is "hands down" the best looking class A ever built. I cannot speak to the interior or drive train but the exterior is sans pareil. After yours the RV industry embraced the "shoebox on wheels" appearance. Congratulations, you get the prize!

I looked at one of the GMC 26' when I first became interested in getting a Class A RV. Unfortunately the interior was partially under construction by the owner and no time line when it was to be finished. I ended up with a 1996 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 34' with a tag axle. I had that for 4 years and both my wife and I got the bug for more. Currently own a 1999 Bluebird Wanderlodge LXi 43' for 5 years and 45,000 miles. I get better MPG with this than I did with the gasser. Doing a steady 68-70 MPH I'll average 7.4 MPG. The gasser at that speed would get 6.5-6.8 MPG. At 47,000 lbs I can't complain. The 500 HP 12.7L Detroit Series 60 is one of the best engines as far as power and economy. I put lots of love in it to get her up to a very reliable coach. Definitely tracks better than the 34' gasser. Now I push the cars around instead of them pushing me around. LOL

1993 Beaver Contessa, Cummins, with a Gillig chassis. A lot of upgrades on the interior. I did some electrical repairs, quite a bit on the plumbing, a lot of upgrades to both The cabinetry is solid 3/4" walnut and was in unbelievable condition for 26 years old, probably the best feature when I found it.
I caught up a lot of defferred chassis maintenance, did a lot of repairs and wear parts replacement. Last fall I felt comfortable enough with where it was at to take a 600 mile trip. The ride and handling were amazing, no problems at all.

We're working on it, keeping in mind that it was actually built in 2006 ....

LOL. As a diesel tech and I know several others that are. A smart tech will own a gas truck! My cousin that went to school and worked on big rigs and quarry trucks, he always ends up buying a gas model HD truck.

Just couldn’t stop myself…
I found this on the web somewhere, always wanted to send it to someone if they asked what my motorhome looked like!
