Well, I think today it will be time time to get more dirt in my eyes

THANKS for the link, good find. The difference is that some sellers sell only the adapter, but IF they include a filter with the adapter it is a "KIT" . I'm just glad to know the adapter is still available.

Just to follow up. For a novice like me, the job took about 1 hour, a couple open end wrenches, a couple new zip ties and that was about it. The LuberFiner filter I used worked perfectly. It was the perfect size and fitment and a pretty inexpensive Mod. #1, Loosen and or remove 3 attached fuel line clamps and the main wrap around filter clamp. #2, remove the 3 fuel lines. I started with the inlet. Make sure to use 2 wrenches when loosening and re-tightening, as not to kink the lines. #3 reverse the process. From now on I will be able to use any over the counter filter. Much easier. After I was all done. I took the old filter and blew it out, just to see. A lot of black sediment came out and my Rig only has 28k miles....Well worth the little time and dinero. Glad it helped Ed....and anyone else

Curious if the any of the lines are pressurized or if one can si,ply remove and install? Ordered a couple from the whaler link, came in less than a week. Only 16K on my rig but going to swap out as it sat a while.
Noticed a "bubble" on my hydraulic line going to the driver side rear leveling jack. Love sliding around and finding things to fix...

Fuel lines at the filter are under pressure , best to find the fuel pump relay ; and remove it with the engine running ; when the engine stalls there will still be some pressure at the filter , but much lower .
Expect some fuel spray when fittings are loosened ,use all safety precautions .

You can get field repair fitting to fix hose if there is enough slack after cutting back. I only had one fail but was on hot water pressure washer on hot at the time ...the hose end was previously tore off with a fork lift. As I always say can't make anything operator or forklift proof... Their ooops a big part of my job .
