Walking space when driving model recommendations

Plenty of walk room with slides in with our 4011 Dutch Star. Do yourself a favor and stay with Newmar.

We were in the same situation and we simply took the floorplan we liked best and settled on a slight modification. A mod that can be done to a new/used coach if it fits your needs. We had a big problem with the aisle space with the slides in and we also travel with two dogs. It is just the two of us, no kids, no in laws, etc. so we removed the redundant sofa and gained quite a bit of space. Newmar installed a slimmer profile fireplace in it's place. When camping we still have seating for five counting the driver/passenger seats. In the photos below you can kind of picture the aisle gain from removing the sofa.

Scratch "everyone" off that. A lot of folks don't want the big hole in the middle when parked. That is why you see so many who want no slides or one slide. You can put us in that group.

Anyone remember the floor plan on the Executive 36 to 40' coach's, eight gas or diesel, from the late 80's ??

No slides and plenty of 'walk around floor space. - I know...we had a 36' diesel pusher back then and loved it. Sometimes I wonder just why we "updated" and sold it !

The folks we sold it to umpteen years ago, still have it and won't part with it.

We have a bath and a half, king bed etc. and have good access to the half bath and kitchen with the slides in.

When considering other slide out equipped RV's we owned, our 2012 fleetwood providence 42p is as close to the perfect floor plan we've seen or experienced.

Closed or opened, we can get to, and use just about anything we need to during our travels, and all during traveling if necessary.

We've spent rest periods in truck stop parking areas, rest stops, and even Walmart where we did not need to stick a slide out into a dangerous area to fully utilize our coach as it was intended.

If there was a need to make a marathon coast to coast run utilizing multiple drivers, our coaches floor plan would make it a front runner for the task.

We didn't like the gas pedal on the Newmar Essex. I know the gas and brake pedals are adjustable but does the gas pedal have any other adjustments? like loosen a bolt and pull the pedal further down or at a different angle?
