Washer Dryer install

I am getting ready to install a washer/dryer in my 2006 Diplomat DST with the rear bath. The washer goes behind the toilet on the passenger corner and the back of the washer will be toward the rear of the coach. I have not seen any info on where to put the vent and prefer not to put it out the side of the coach but have seen that done on other rigs. Does anyone have a similar setup and where did you vent? Can I vent into the rear cap where the taillights are?

Our W/D is in the back corner of the bedroom on the passenger side. The vent hose goes out the side. The cover is painted to match the coach!

My dryer is in the rear bath, driver side and vents through the wall but not through the cap. Between the rear wall and rear cap there is pretty large void. It works really well and I don't have a dryer vent on the outside so no holes through the exterior.

I'd be concerned about moisture buildup and possible delamination.

Really your only other option is a ventless dryer or Bentleys combo w/d it uses fresh cooler water to trap/absorb dryer condensation.

On my Journey, there's a gap between the interior back wall and the end cap of the RV of around 6". I don't think there would be any problem with venting into that gap, particularly if your dryer vent ends up to be near the rear grill.

The difficulty might be in getting an outside dryer vent cap installed on that outside wall because I'd think you'd want to direct the warm moist air down and you'd want a small flap and screen like a home dryer vent has for the same reasons.

Since the dryer loads are as small as they are, I don't think moisture would be a problem for the outer fiberglass end cap over the short vacation times most people use their RV. Now that I think about it, don't think a full timer would have to worry either.
