Water diverter valve - defective??

While attempting to add water to our fresh water tank before heading for FL, I realized that once the valve handle was turned to divert water to the onboard tank, no water was being added. Water to the coach the city water is not an issue. My question, before removing valve is, do these valves malfunction? I tried tapping it thinking it may be stuck, but to no avail. This is a 2011 Damon Challenger. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Two thing can happen

Valve handle doesn't actually turn valve...stripped stem

Valve doesn't actually move..stem separated from valve disc

Is it an Anderson Valve?

Thanks for the reply, Old-Biscuit. No, it is a Watters (talk about coincidence). I will try to locate one at one of the Home Depots ( they can't be that expensive), but first try to tighten the handle. Thanks again!
