Water heater - HELP
I Am sure it is a simple fix!! I have a 2011 Mirada 34BH, I dewintwrized Friday and now I can not get water heater to work properly. Water will get hot for a brief second and that is it. Seems like the pilot lot does not stay lit. I have tried everything I can think of. I do have gas, checked that first.

Did you open a hot water faucet to be sure the HW heater filled with water?

An easy way to check if there's water in the heater is to lift the lever on the pressure/temperature relief valve. If water comes out it's full.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it is full, pressure release valve told me that. Water does come out of all faucets with no problem. The heater will shut off after awhile, like the water is hot.

It sounds like your bypass is turned on. shutoff the bypass and I think that will solve your problem.

Hi Jrf4865,
ga traveler nailed this problem. The clue is you just de-winterized the unit. There are 2 valves that need to be repositioned so the water is forced through the water heater. Check these valves. Do the check carefully. The valves are usually plastic and one can think the valve moved with the turning of the lever. Sometimes the lever does not move the valve. Then the valve needs to be replaced.

Didn't say if you did the winterization or not. Any way on my mirada a 2011 29DS the bypass valve is hidden and accessed thru a panel in the compartment to the left of the water heater. about 6 little screws and the carpeted panel comes off and you can see the bypass valve.
