The white drinking hoses can be found @any big box store or campingworld.com. Stay away from regular garden hoses as some of them produce an awful taste in the summer. hope this helps also go with 5/8 instead of the 1/2"

My advise is to buy the best hoses available, and get a Watts pressure regulater. These can be purchased at www.rvwaterfilterstore.com . They are great people to deal with , and will answer any questions you may have. They will make your hoses in custom lengths as well as using the highest quality hoses out there . Good luck

Get the pressure reducer to put on the end of the hose where it screws onto the spigot. Then get the best 5/8" WHITE drinking water hose you can find. I carry 2 25 ft lengths that I bought at Camping World. I have tried the cheaper hoses and they are junk.

I bought the 1/2 inch hoses from the rvwaterfilterstore , and I could be wrong but I believe that is what they recommended . There is no advantage to using bigger hoses on an RV water system, however they will advise you on what is best. The regulator I bought was the Watts 263 with the oil filled gauge. As Vegasdan said make sure you purchase and use the regulator, it can help safe gaurd your coach from high water pressure at some parks, and the flooding of your coach that many have experienced.

Whatever you get, make sure it says it is for POTABLE WATER usage - not a garden hose. Potable water hoses are generally white, though being white is no guarantee in itself.

plus get yourself several different lengths of potable hose. You can pay to have rvwaterfilterstore send you different lengths, or you can buy 2 longer ones, cut them yourself & get end fittings. We bought 2 25ft hoses. Left one as is, cut the other & made 1 10ft, 2 5ft & 2 2-1/2ft (approx) sections. You never know when you need a few extra feet to get to the spigot or when you don't need a full 25ft to reach it.

After many years and many different hoses, I now carry two. For most setups, where the connection is close, I use a 25' coiled plastic hose. For the occasional longer connection, I have a 25' Handi-Hose. Both are very easy to store, deploy and put away.

Someone mentioned the RV water filters store.. Do by all means get a filter and a short hose.. (In addition to the main hose)
And also pick up a high capacity pressure regulator,, WATTS in-line whole house units are good, you can find them at Lowes or Home Depot, you will also need hose fitting adapters for them (Different isle, same store) Set to abut 50 PSI (45-55)
Hookup recommended Regulator, long hose, filter, short hose
The filter and short hose should be shaded from sunlight (or inside the water compartment)
Alternative hook up
Hose, filter REGULATOR & Short hose (either order) rig.
Why the regulator:
Plumbing in a motor home or trailer can easily take 150 PSI or more,, but the toilet valve is rated sixty and you do not want to flood the bathroom.. Plus the park I am in just now mentiones right on the check in papers that the county water system has been known to hit 120PSI.. It does too, and that can blow the ends right off your hose.

Get TWO hoses (the electrical hookup and water hookup sometimes aren't close together), and one set of replacement male and female hose ends to repair hoses with bad or crossed threads.

I have three white hoses...50', 25' and 10'...got 'em all, and a brass water pressure regulator, at Wal Mart. Camping World is a last resort, they are most expensive of all RV stores. Wally World carries lots of RV supplies, depending on where you are.
