Water lines - diagram and need help

Apologize up front for the bad drawing. I have been working in the wet bay and could really use some help on if I have this fresh water hooked up correctly. For some reason I am stuck on the fact that the water should not come in through the hose, go to the fresh water/fill valve, then to the fresh water tank first, before then going to the water pump. For some reason I thought I read it goes to the water pump first and then fills the fresh water tank.....but that doesn't make sense to me. Not sure if the prior owner made changes or if this routing is correct.

Also, I have a one way valve after the water line from the water pump and the fresh water line combine. Should I have one way valves in other positions? I think I need one after the fresh water tank and before the water pump. Really would appreciate some guidance.

Oh, and I looked online and there seems to be several methods of routing the lines.

City water and pump discharge supply the same cld water plumbing system
City water can supply the RV independent of pump
Pump can supply the RV independent of city water

Fill to fresh water tank is via city water source

Your drawing is correct

Pump has internal check valve to prevent backflow into tank thru pump when using city water
City water inlet has check valve to prevent backflow out connection when using pump

Thanks Biscuit for the reply, I'm going to finish the job this weekend. Hopefully it all works as it should and I can get the panels back on and put this behind me.

There should be a link to a pony keg for emergency-beer as required.

Here is a plumbing diagram by another member for an Open Road, which should be pretty standard for all of Tiffin coaches. It shows the fresh water fill going directly to the tank, which I'm pretty sure is the same as ours.

Thanks for the two diagrams. One question I have is that it seems my fresh water tank fills from the bottom and the water exits that same spot when pulled from the water pump. Does that sound correct? The diagrams show the fresh water being filled at the top and the water pump pulling from the bottom.

It isn't unusual for the pump suction line and fill line to be connected together, so it appears that both use the same tank connection.

Thanks for the reply. I looked today and don't see a different way to fill so it must be right.
