Water noise from bay area and inside

Has anyone had a strange humming or vibration noise coming from the fresh water valve were you hook up your fresh water hose to. It makes this strange sound when you turn a tap on in the motorhome. Thanks

Sounds to me like your water pump is running when an open faucet puts a demand on it. Could be the switch for the pump is on somewhere in the coach or the pump needs replacement.

Its not the pump. Only happens when hocked up to city water.

Possibly the anti flow back valve on your city water connector is vibrating due to a weak spring.

Or, a built in pressure reducer valve.

I once bought a cheap pressure reducer that sounded like that when you opened a tap in the RV.

Let's try this:

1) Well you may be hooked up to city water but you may also still have the water pump switch ON. Have u checked that?

2) Well you may be hooked up to city water but is that valve where you hook up the hose switched to NORMAL city water or turned to TANK FILL?
