Need some advice please. We have a 2002 Four Winds Hurricane. We bought it a couple of years ago. Last year we had a lot of rain when travelling and noticed the floor in the bathroom and bedroom area was wet. What can we use to seal the undercarriage in that area to water proof or any other low cost suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you carefully inspect underneath in the area of the bathroom, you might find that there are some areas where the sub floor has been left out to allow access to plumbing. These areas need to be closed up if you drive in the rain. Water getting into that area might have already caused damage to the wood structure and flooring. It's often particle or chip board that swells when in contact with water.

Thank you. I appreciate your help. What would you recommend to close these area? We r new to this so really need help.

I'd have to see the opening and the surrounding areas to determine how I'd proceed. I'd use aluminum flashing with a plywood backing if the space warranted it. If it's just a narrow seam or opening, spray foam insulation might do the trick.

Are you sure its coming up from below? On a coach I had several years ago the skylight over the shower cracked. Its a double skylight and only the exterior was broken and I didn't notice it from inside. Rain ran down the inside of the bathroom wall and onto the bedroom floor.

Also one time during noreaster conditions on the east coast rain forced its way into the BR slide, ran down the back side of the slide enclosure and onto the floor.

Water has a funny way or entering one place and showing up someplace else.
