Cool Water pressure?

What do all of you use to limit the water pressure when hooking up to city water at a RV park? We've always used the little brass water pressure regulator that sells for under $10, but find that it severely restricts the pressure in our coach.....especially in the sink when using the hot water!! Please share your expertise!! What do all of you use?

I used the same thing then I just stopped using any pressure regulator. Have not used a regulator for about 5 years with two different RVs and have had no problem.

Valterra makes a high-flow, lead free pressure regulator in stainless steel or brass. They advertise 15-20% higher flow. I saw them at WalMart, I'm sure you can find them at any rv store. We ordered ours on-line it was like $20, it is a very acceptable high flow, and I'm a shower snob. SKU: A01-1122VP

I check the pressure with a gauge and if it is above 65 I put on the Watts regulator. I have found few places with high pressure, but it only takes 1 time to screw up plumbing. The highest I have found was Bottomless Lake State Park at Roswell NM it had 110 psi. Another was in Canada 105 psi. I was next to fiver that had water running out from underneath. No one was home so I shut the water off and left them a note.

I bought a household pressure limiter from lowes and plumbed it into the rv, has very little restriction

Spend some more money on a better pressure reducer. Watts makes a very nice one.

I have one from the RV water filter company which is a Watts with a gauge. I have it set at 45 psi and haven't had water flow issues.

Get one from Lowes or Home Depot with a gauge and adjust it to allow 65 psi. Works great, but don't leave it on the CG faucet when you leave like I did with the first one. Most motorhomes are tested to 100 psi.

I used to use those brass regulators, but it affected flow--by the time you were done with your shower, the water was down to a trickle. I switched to one of these and water pressure and flow is great.

Never used a pressure regulator yet in 12 years. I think it is a thing people used way back like when autos (needed 4 oil) changes a year. Never had a water problem yet. Piping is designed to hold the pressure. Any pipe burst no matter what pressure it is is going to make a mess. Better to shut water off to rv when away if you are worried.

You're a braver man than me! We've been in campgrounds where the water pressure was 100 lbs +. Maybe new RV's are designed to take that kind of pressure, but I certainly wouldn't bet on the older ones doing it!

Water pressure in my town is 100 lbs. everyone's pipes are fine. Newest houses have pex plumbing same as my rv. Go past 150 and it would be a different story.

We need 100 lbs. in order to fill the elevated tanks.

10 lbs. is the EPA low limit...this seems to be what I get out of the rv's hot water side. Lol
