Water pressure/softener

Hello. Just got back from a trip to Wisconsin Dells and my wife wants more water pressure and soft water. She actually when on the internet to look at booster pumps! Any thoughts other than getting another wife? Thanks

Most are rated at 60psi.
Question: is she interested in pressure or maybe more volume...GPM.

Some pumps have a hidden adjustment for the pressure switch and I believe the water system is tested to at least 80 PSI. You could also just buy a higher rated pump, the higher the volume and pressure, the higher the cost. You will have to make sure the wiring and switch/switches will handle the current on the better pumps. If not, a relay circuit could supply the additional current allowing the old control system to just turn the relay on/off as desired. I test my water system every fall when I winterize it with 100-110 PSI Air blowing out the lines. If it is going to break, I want it at home where I can fix it. Eleven years so far and no failures.

Many are going to RO instead of softener however you need decent water quality for the RO so others have softeners feeding RO

Check your strainers and filter if you have one, also pressure regulator

RVIA standards require pressure testing well above that, 85 psi as I recall (I don't have the specs handy any more). I routinely ran my pump at 60 psi and have experienced shore/city water pressure in the 70-80 psi range.

You already have a booster pump onboard. It is probably factory set for 45 psi but feel free to increase that.

Soft water is an easy fix. I just did an install on this system. It can be left outside and connected to your hose or if you have space in a bay it can be mounted there.
