Water pump switch stuck
2006 Fleetwood Flair. We have 3 waterpump switches. 2 work but the third is stuck. The stuck switch is located on the stove hood. Suggestions on how to access and repair the stuck switch?

Picture would help but they might pop out if you carefully slide a knife under the bezel and gently pry up. If the guy who wired it was courteous enough leave enough extra wire to allow the switch to be pulled out enough it can be checked and repaired if necessary.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks. Pic attached. It does look like the front plate is held on by metal clips which I could pry open. We are on a trip now so I will wait until I get home in case I have a "maintenance induced failure "!

Wow, quick reply. Looking at the pic is there a panel visible after removing the hood filters? If not then carefully lifting might be the way.

Thanks ! And I fully understand your guidance is just that and I bear all the risks.
There doesn't appear to be access from by removing the filter or light panel. Hoping someone will reply who has actually removed this panel successfully.

Any rocker that fits the hole will work. Check your local hdwe store or auto parts store.

thanks. I pulled some of the others out thinking I could swap until we get home, but some have three prongs, some two. So...nothing special about this one?

In my Southwind, the switches are Momentary contact.
The switch should pop out if you get under it with a knife. Also, the entire panel will come off the same way, get under the edge with a knife and pry up. The article should give you an idea how they separate.

when you push on the switch, does it return to the original position by itself (momentary) or does it 'click' to the new position and stay there (on-off). If momentary, just look for one like it, a momentary switch. Not as common as on off but should still be easy to find one. Why do you think the switch does not work? Is the switch illuminated when 'on'?

It is not momentary. Down for on up for off. It is stuck halfway between and won't move.

If you look at the switch, you can probably take it apart (carefully) and fix it. No kidding, its just a spring and metal contact inside, just watch out for the spring to fly when you get it apart.
