Water Tank drain

Getting ready for the winter and my fresh water tank is about half full. I need to get the water out and drain the tank. Other than turning the pump on and pumping it out is there an easier way to drain the water from the tank. Would also help to know so when I use the antifreeze for the winter I can flush it faster next spring. Its a 50gal tank so pumping doesn't;t sound like the way to go.

Yep there should be a drain valve in your wet bay area. Just open it and close when tank is empty

If you know where the tank is and can get to it, look there. Ours has a nice big 1 inch ball valve mounted at the tank. If you don't see it there, look in the wet bay. Not there, then look underneath the rig. It could even be boxed in making you have to remove a panel to get to it.

And while I doubt this is the case, I suppose it's possible yours might not even have a drain valve.

I think most freshwater tank drain valves are in the wet bay. That's where ours is.

Also provided that you find the fresh water drain valve, you don’t want to put antifreeze in your fresh water tank. It will be a lot of flushing in the spring if you do. We live in Canada and I have never put it in the fresh water tank. Just make sure it’s empty.
