Weighed my 08 Fiesta LX - Should I be concerned?
Hey all, I wanted to get your guy's take on the weights I got on my RV this morning. I have my traveling water, full LP, full tank of gas, only minus some food, wife and kids and clothes. I found a local Co-Op that has a flat scale so I was able to take the Driver side weights, then I did the Front, and then the Rear weights then did some math. So, these are the numbers I got:
Drivers Front: 3560 (Scale Weight)
Drivers Rear: 5880 (Scale Weight)
Total Front: 6480 (Scale Weight)
Total Rear: 11870 (Scale Weight)
Pass. Front: 2920 (Calculated Weight 6480 - 3560)
Pass. Rear: 5990 (Calculated Weight 11870 - 5880)
The living room slide is on the drivers side. The generator is on the drivers side over the just behind the rear tires, bedroom slide is on passenger side over rear tires. LP is on the Passenger side under passenger chair.
I'm a little concerned about the front difference. The rears are good in my opinion, only 100 difference, but the fronts are like over 400lbs different in weight. That normal? Not sure how much more I could put over there to "balance" the load. There isn't any storage compartments any further forward, and I actually store "most" of my stuff on the passenger side anyway. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance everyone!
Jeremiah

Take the gold bars out of your underwear drawer and stack them upfront!
I assume you've already moved heavy stuff to the front? That's about all you can do.

I weighed mine but did not do separate wheels, just front and back.
600 delta seems a little high, but it is what it is. Slide mechanisms could be that difference.
Batteries?? Are they under the steps?
In the airplane world, batteries is one of the things we look at to move if we need to get weight and balance in line
Other than that try and load stuff accordingly.

The batteries are under the steps on the passenger side of the RV. Pretty crazy however that I'd have to put more stuff on the passenger side, considering that's where I put most of my stuff now. I was just worried about it being too much. I'm underweight as a total, by a lot, so I'm not concerned about over-loading the RV. I'll end up setting my tire pressures to the higher weights and make sure it's all good.
