Weird electrical stuff happening NEED ADVICE!

So I recently bought a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder 35E I really good cosmetic shape. However being my first coach, (previous was a 1984 Silver Eagle Tour Bus )( whole different BEAST) i am very ill informed.

So to the issue , If I plug 50A shore power the genset tries to start when I throw a general 20 amp breaker. or unplugged if I click the aux battery switch.
Is this a procedural issue? Is there a sequence to switching over? Or does it sound like the ATS isn't switching or is stuck in between.

It's all new to me, previous owner only owned it a week , so I have little to go on. I have the manual but its vague. any input would be appreciated is there a systems walk through video or manual for this model so I know what normal is?

I will guess that you have a generator auto start AGS and dead batteries.

When you plug in, the charger sends some power to the dead batteries and that signals the AGS to start due to low batteries.
That would also happen when you hit the AUX switch.

Second thought. Your generator start switch or solenoid is stuck on, or the wires are shorted. Again the house batteries are stone dead and charging them or boosting them with the AUX switch is causing the generator to crank.

Find the cable going to the generator and disconnect it. Then see what happens.

On a side note...I'm curious why the previous owner only had it a week.

Battery size cable that goes to the generator starter.

If you can't locate it near the batteries, look for it at the generator. Use care disconnecting it there, it may be powered.

Because the electrical system is screwed up and he didn't want to deal with it.
