What are these bars underneath my MH?
I've been underneath my 30ft Class A Pace Arrow (Gasser) on a John Deere Chassis that has a More Ride Suspension and wondered if these were anti-sway bars? The one is up in front of the rear end and the other is behind it.

looks like a track bar to me.. it keeps the rear end from moving side to side

The front one could possibly be to catch the Drive Shaft if it broke. The rear one is to keep the rear axle in alignment. With the pictures you have posted I do not see any Anti-Sway Bar on your rear end.

They certainly aren't anti-sway bars. All they are doing is tying both frame rails together in front and behind the differential. It's hard to see the frame size, but it looks rather small in that area. It looks to me they are just beefing up the frame....just a guess.

They aren't track bars - both ends are attached to the fixed chassis. A track bar would be mounted to the movable (axle) portion on one end and the fixed frame on the other.
The look like basic chassis stiffeners to me.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback... Consensus is trac bars and not anti-sway bars. That could explain why trucks are pushing me pretty good when they pass me...

You're right about the first picture, but the second and 3rd are pictures of the rear track bar.

Well, now that I have re-read all the responses, I am confused again... you know what they say - when you're born dumb, it's FOREVER!. Sorry guys, but what does a track bar do differently than a anti-sway bar???

Can you please take another set of pics of that rear bar? A trac-bar should be fixed to the frame at one end, and the deferential at the other, or close to it..

A Trak bar keeps the rear axle in-line with the frame, by attaching a bar between the frame and axle. I see no evidence of that on that rear bar.
An anti-way bar mounts to the axle on both sides (usually about 1 1/2 inches in diameter) it the has two arms making it look like a 'U'. At each end of the bar are links which attach the bar to the frame. As the coach leans, the 2 link bars twist the sway bar creating resistance, restricting roll/sway of the coach.
I have to agree with Gary.... They look like basic chassis stiffeners to me.

I think you all missed it.
The Mor/Ride suspension is mounted outside the frame rail and exerts twisting pressure on the frame rails. The lower bar between the frame rails has the effect of stabilizing the frame. 
Well, after checking out the website on the above posting I revealed my age. Mor/Ryde no longer uses the outboard rubber block system. That would mean the lower stabilizer bars are no longer needed since the 90s.  You will have to forgive my embarrassment. I started motor-homing in the 1950s.

didn't know that, thanks! i thought the Mor/Ryde was a rubber air bag substitute, not a set of bars.. http://www.morryde.com/aftermarket/s...system-41.html
