Dirty shoes

I have a rectangular Spa basket about 12 x 30 which I put a paper bag on bottom for our shoes when we enter the coach. When the slides are open, I put it behind the drivers seat. A small new cat litter box also works well.

Seems that this is the Clear winner - as DW wants it to LOOK neat and orderly as you enter the Coach.

Shoes off, always. Swab the bottom of any shoe and have it tested and you will understand why. Same goes for the stick and brick house, too.

Curious why some folks think it's hard to drive barefoot? Been doing that for over 4 decades including manuals. Boots on for the motorcycles of course.

We open the door, stomp off any excess dirt, wipe them on the entry rug and go in. The shoes stay on till bedtime. Glass tile is easy to clean when needed. We live in our coach when on the road and see no need to have it spotless for us or anyone else.

We've been using a small container by the door to hold shoes, but it has been overflowing. So, I just ordered a rack that will mount on the wall and will be basically hidden from view by a reclining chair in front of it.

We keep a large Rubbermaid storage container outside right by the door.. All shoes go in there, and only socks, barefoot or slippers inside. Our shoes often include bike shoes, hiking shoes, and water shoes. Too many to keep inside!

With two dogs? They go barefoot inside while we wear shoes. If really dirty/muddy or very wet they come off. Usually placed on a rug inside the door. Heavier boots, Muck Boots and the like are too big for a basket or other holder. It's been rare to be camping where I'd use flip flops outside.

We don't worry too much. We try to take very good care if our RV, but not to an extreme. Wipe boots or shoes outside and once again inside. We sweep or vacuum often (have to do that with any system and flooring). If the carpet and flooring needs replacing later on, we'll do that.
