What do you fine folks here recommend for a digital antenna?

Hello all, I am wanting to upgrade my existing TV antenna to the newer digital long range antenna's that are advertised. But there are so many to choose from and so many conflicting reviews I don't know what to do. I would like one to replace the one that is already mounted on my crank up mount, if I can get one like that. I had bought one for our old coach years ago when they first came out with the digital ones but they don't sell them anymore so I'm on the hunt!! Thanks in advance.

The crank up bat wing antenna is typically the best performing OTA TV antenna.

The RF energy transmitted thru the air did not change when the encoding changed from analog to digital. As such your existing antenna will still work. Even the old rabbit ear antennas still work just like they did 70 years ago.

If you're determined to buy anything for you coach then an antenna optimized for the UHF frequency band (channels 14-36) might help as many stations moved to the higher frequency band where they can package more digital channels on the same transmitted signal.

The Wingaurd batwing with wingman has been tested as best by members here. They tried the other pedestal ones. New models have wingman already attached a lot more stations are in UHF now the wingman can be added to older models to help UHF even more. I have King rotatable pedestal , my friends Batwing without wingman blows it away.

I wish my current coach had a crank-up batwing with the UHF add on. It’s the best OTA antenna I ever had.

+2 on bat wing, if you don't have the UHF add on antenna. It's like $35 and takes 15 minutes to install. The digital channels mainly use the UHF frequency. UHF add on is like 2x a improvement.

Another vote for the bat wing with Wingman. Couldn't be happier with ours, great reception. Use the Winegard app to find transmitter locations.

Wingaurd batwing with wingman is the best. I put a splitter in the line and added a signal level meter. I turn it on after I raze the antenna. As I turn the antenna the signal level goes up and down. In less than ten seconds I have the strongest signal. Then turn the battery powered meter off. It makes life easy.

Recently installed a Winegard Sensor 4. Great antenna. Superior to the King Jack in every way.

Thank you all so much for your valued input. Gives me a very good idea as to what to start looking for. The Winegard Wingman looks like the one to get. The ones I looked at on Amazon looked like it's just a module that piggy backs on the OEM wing antenna. Is this right?

That is correct. In my case I purchased the entire unit because I needed new gears and it was in pretty rough shape overall.
