What does this switch do?

I recently purchased a 2000 Georgie Boy Pursuit. I'm sorting out some problems behind the dash and I need to know what this switch does. It appears to be a simple ON-OFF switch with only two connections. I don't recognize the icon symbol.

Of all the Mirror Heater switches I have ever seen.. That is the CLEAREST Icon of them all..
The main piture is very learly a mirror. and the graphic inside the retangle is a resistor (Resitive heating) Or rather I should say it is the standard Electronic Symbol for a resistor.

WIsh mine was that well marked (on mine there is no marking, it's the switch next to the mirror joy pad).

My initial reaction was that is was a resistor taking a leak, or perhaps someone pumping gas into a tank that had a resistor inside. Neither of those seemed just right so I came here for help. Thanks again.
