HWH Jacks - Moscow Iowa

Spent the day at HWH yesterday. They took us right in a 7am. (We only contacted them a week ago). They put three guys right on it. They systematically checked everything. Got a new motor, one new jack, fixed some wiring, lubed up a couple of stuck jacks, replaced one circuit board.

They are good guys! I HAVE WORKING JACKS NOW!

I thought the price was very fair (and didn't reflect the actual time they spent).
I would certainly recommend them for repairs!

I have finally gotten bay door 7 to lock and unlock with the remote. A lot of connections cleaned and lubed the entire mechanism. Had 6 working before now all 7 do.
Just changed the 19 year old Aquajet water pump as it finally quit. Used ARV 5503-AV15-B636 model. Slipped into old spot perfectly. Hope this on lasts as long as first one.
Changed the fresh water fill as it was leaking at the hose connector.

Also got the power shades on the front window to work properly. Again contact cleaner to the rescue. Those switches are little devils to get out. Once they are out easy to work on.

When we bought this they said it needed a lot of TLC. This weekend I finished the water heater. I pulled it, pressure tested, flushed it, replaced the fittings and the pop off. Now it works! Must be the grace of God!

Like the old quote, "How do you eat an elephant?" One bite at a time! Keep at it, the end result is worth it!

Levelers died

While taking a "test everything again" break from finishing the quarter-round molding around our new plank floors, the hydraulic levelers stopped working. This on the third check in a row, so DH recruited me to engage the levelers while he checked voltage under the hood. There was power to the motor wiring...but - connection fittings weren't even finger tight. A few turns of the wrench, engage the levelers again and down they came! This is more of the shoddy workmanship we paid dearly for. Happy to have a mechanically minded DH😁 Just a couple of pieces of molding to install and on to the next project (replacing all of the laminate countertops).

On the bright side, after burner tubes were blown out with the compressor nozzle to clear out some mud dauber leftovers, the water heater and heater start first time, every time. The Norcold fridge runs (and is cold) on both electric and LP. All of the roller shades with their purple valances are gone, replaced with cordless blinds. It's starting to look very modern inside. We're almost there! It's been a long 6-month journey. We still have delam (not critical) to address but it can wait until we get some miles on this rig. In the next few days I'll get some pix of the floors (as soon as the last molding goes in).

New to me 18 year old

Well just purchased a 2002 Diplomat, 38PBDD
Went thru yesterday made a preliminary list of Honey dos...
today, swapped out Crappy Jensen back up monitor and camera with an el cheapo monitor and camera, color, 7” screen, and color cam with IR illuminators. Sorry no pics but much improved pic and screen size. Utilized cable already run, just cut off and spliced in the rca and Power plugs. One day I will probably install a higher quality but this one will work for now... also came with side cameras and another surface mount cam I’m trying to figure out where to put it..

Had an Omega slide topper/awning that was on the wrong side of the slide. Got that fixed, for now. Those things are all out of whack.

Changed a few light bulbs.

Installed a TST 507 TPMS system

Also, repaired sliding closet doors and adjusted a bunch of things.. still much more on my list to go...

2000 Endeavor, has new w/s.
All other windows removed exposing crap factory sealing job. Every window had been leaking to some extent. All windows being dismantled and resealed, some with new glass.
Some delam areas next on list.
New chassis batts, house next.
Cleaned + Poliglowed outside.
Isn't this fun?[emoji847]

Got down to Mazatlan and hook up the water after running it for 10 seconds or so. Too tired at that moment to dig out my water filter and didn't get to it until two days later. Used maybe 5 gallons of water. BUT, that was enough to plug my water system with green leafy flotsam. I've been picking it out, blowing it out with air, and messing with it now for several days.

Not fun. But did have the result that I replaced the bad water pressure accumulator I had that had a factory defect...18 years old. So that's replaced now.

New muffler and tailpipe. Turns out Freightliner had the exact part, gave them the last digits of VIN #, two days later picked it up. Best price I could find as well. Topped off batteries, was planning on replacing all 4 6v GC house batteries last fall as they are 8 years old but didn't get around to it. . . . which was probably a good thing, since we probably won't use the RV until Fall with all the crap going around right now.

Repaired instrument panel cover lift strut in front of coach.
Need to go over roof and check sealant, but no rush as it's in the garage.
Fixed other small stuff, drawer latch here, trim molding there, that sort of thing.
It's just AMAZING all of the little nitnoid stuff that is getting done around the house with all our "home time".

I learned the filter lesson some time back. I sure don't want that junk in the holding tank.
