I replaced my six flooded batteries with the 300 amp Lifelines two years ago. I paid $258 each delivered to my door. They are maintenance free and give me 900 amps of storage capacity. I just checked for a friend and they were up to $292 now, but still a good option.

The 8D battery has some pretty bad reviews and they are not deep cycle. The 6 volt GC batteries are the way to go and at a cheap price but there are better quality 6 volts out there but at a little more expense.
