What is it?

My '98 Flair has a device of some kind under the hood which--I believe--is connected to vents in front of the passenger seat on the inside. The tech who did an excellent job showing us around the MH when we bought it a year ago, didn't know what it was either. I've asked a few mechanics and no one has an answer.

The pictures are: (1) The vents inside the coach, directly in front of the passenger seat, close to the floor. (2) This is under the hood and appears to be connected by flex hoses to the vents inside. It is mounted directly above the house battery on the far right (passenger side).

Picture #1 , is the dash heater, A/C , unit's air intake and only functions when the unit is in re-circulation mode ( max A/C)

I don't think it's part of the heater A/C fresh air intake , looks more like an engine combustion air noise silencer .
What chassis is your coach built on ??

Llooks like an AC vent and heater vent under the dash and a cold air intake under the hood. Not related.
Let us know when you confirm.
