We purchased a used Fleetwood Southwind. No paperwork or records. How do I go about finding if the previous owner used synthetic or regular engine oil? Does it matter?

Just make sure you do a complete oil change. Don't mix oils.
I recommend Amsoil.
I have mine tested annually- just change the filter.

My oil has over 30,000 miles and 12 years without oil change.
I have 2 Amsoil bypass filters in addition to the engine filter.

Wow! That is the longest I've heard other than a tractor that went 25 year on one AMSOIL oil change. Good for you! Thanks for sharing.
