What product do I use to seal this leak?

I just dumped my black tank and as always I'm on the look out for any leaks. Well, I found one. My rig is 20 years old so I'm certainly not surprised. What do you suggest I use to seal this? It looks as though it was sealed previously.

Not a bad idea to replace both valves at same time. Looks like the clean out fitting is added on, did they use silicone or an epoxy. It's hard to repair/reseal anything that was siliconed. Epoxy putties are great if it was epoxied until you can get it replaced.

E-Trailer seems to have a variety your pic a little too close up to give better help. Looks like valves are commonly included

Grab your small grinder and get rid of all the old patch - Once everything is clean wipe with alcohol or other cleaner - get all original surface - then mix up a bit of JB Weld - let the mixed patch sit for 10-15 minutes to set up a bit then spread it over the patch covering the weak area - within the time suggested put on one more coat of Patch and smooth it out to looks good - https://www.walmart.com/ip/J-B-Weld-...saWNrPXRydWU=- this is the larger size that I always have in the RV - cannot tell you how many times I have used it. When in business even used it on a few diesel heads - Worked. -

Or unbolt and remove and replace - If that's what you wanted to do - just a guess - that would have be the Question. -

Hope this answers the Question.

If you want to repair and not replace, as mentioned aboveJB weld would probably do the job, they make a marine epoxy version...I've used it with good success.

I agree with using JB Weld PlasticWeld. This may require re-doing after several years though. For a permanent repair, remove that part, clean thoroughly then take it to an automotive repair shop and have it plastic welded like is done on car bumpers.

If it matches the $35 one I eyeballed with both valves included ,not worth too much extra effort. I still recommend the epoxy putty JB or Locktite if you want to patch it up . Smear it down thin and hard first ,followed by the bead.

Thanks for the info. Now that I look at my own picture, there are two bolts holding the "y" in place. How in the world do I find THAT part? Is it universal? Your help is greatly appreciated.

You can probably find that part at many RV parts stores. That fitting looks like something that was added to be able to drain the gray tank off into the bushes using a garden hose. It is not a tank clean out fitting being located where it is. And you will never get anything to stick to all that silicone unless you remove it all with a grinder down to the original plastic as suggested. You could try that along with the JB Weld which is great stuff.

I would try the JB Weld solution first! Much less trouble and expense!

Looks like epoxy in pics. 5min clear epoxy isn't really water proof most 30min is, as well as JB weld. I shared this earlier in post . Scroll down to find the one I guessed at. I can't be sure it the right one from your pic ,the top scroll on web page has other valves.

There are 8 bolts . The 4 bolt square flanges sandwich the gate valves in between. You would leave/save the original glued flanges on drain lines. Don't over tighten bolts if you replace.
