What’s a deal these days?

Newbies to Motorhomes. Multi trips a year, not full time. Did Class C long time ago. Need your thoughts. Deal is a 2018 Newmar Dutch Star with 5000miles for 30% off MSRP or new 2019 Ventara for 22% off. Both are 43’. 25 grand diff with Dutch being more. Ready, go!

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sorry, no knowledge of either. Hope you make the right choice!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Personally, I would wonder why someone would get rid of what is, basically, a new motor coach? Did they have too many problems with it?

If everything checks out, I would go with the Dutch Star.

500 miles could just be from the delivery to the dealer meaning it is a new coach. If indeed it was sold then there is record somewhere if any work was done. I would contact Newmar directly with the VIN.

You should be able to get close to 30% on a brand new Dutch Star. Either will make you happy but the DS has IFS and a side radiator. But then as Fat Chance said "who would get rid of a new motor home?"

Good thought on the side radiator. I personally wouldn’t buy anything with a rear radiator. Much more difficult to service engine accessories

The Dutch Star belongs to the dealer or head salesman I think. He probably gets a new one every year. The big thing also is the dealer is close by. We had looked at Tiffins but the Newmar won out for floor design.

If it was registered then it is used and you should be able to negotiate another 4-5 percentage points.
