What to cover the Doghouse with?
I have removed all the rug in the motorhome. Every stitch. Going with LVP on the floors. Removed the doghouse from the unit . Ripped off all the carpet and got most of the glue off between a heart gun and sander. I want to cover it again with a wipeable and durable material. I got Line X sprayed on it. It looks pretty good but obviously not smooth. I can probable spray it to match the interior but I was wondering what else people have done to theirs?
Surely there has to be someone who hates rug as much as I do and re covered the doghouse1
Thanks

Albertaktm-
Welcome to iRV2!
We had our doghouse re-carpeted, so that's not much help.
If you can get it down to a smooth surface, you might be able to apply a vinyl wrap- the kind they use on cars. It's available in many different finishes. A typical Web site is here:

I see you are new to the Forum— not many class A ers have dog houses. Might look at the other Forums with someone who might have the same issue. Good luck [emoji106]

Are you handy working with wood? Maybe make a flat table, low enough to swing your over when accessing the front seats. Make it so it is secure, but easily removable when you need to access the engine. With imagination, you could add cupholders, storage bins, map storage etc.

I had some Dyna mat left over from one of the cars so I installed it right away. 1970’s vinyl winter front for a semi comes to mind for material!

All Gas powered A class motor homes have dog houses.

That could work. I know some good finishing carpenters.

Try an upholstery shop. But make sure that they put padding on before they cover the piece. You do want some insulation for sound and heat. It would not hurt to put on a radiant heat barrier.

How about some vinyl interior material. There are some pretty nice choices. Check out the the car upholstery shops around you. You will likely have to have one sewn together and fitted, but you might find material similar to your seats.
Post some pictures of whatever you do. Others will be interested, including me.

Put Dynamat underneath and then epoxy over the top. Unlimited possibilities, only limited by your creativity. I've used this product on kitchen counters and it turns out fantastic.
