Whats it worth?
Here's some pics and some info.
1999 Residency, tag axel with just under 29k miles. Back up camera doesn't work, seal creep on most windows, 3 year old tires, no awning over slide and fuel gauge doesn't work.
Has 2 solar panels, inside & outside speakers & system, double door fridge, plenty of basement storage, wood flooring in kitchen & two A/C units.
What would you pay or what do you think it should go for in this market???

Check out PPL Motorhome page, I believe they have a fairly accurate value calculator avaliable on the page...

wow really nice looking coach. My guess is the value trade-in would be in the $17,000 to $22,000 range and a dealer would retail it out for $29,999 and take around $23/$24,000. Only an opinion, there are just sooo many A's on the market with a declining demand and a dramatic shift to tow behinds.

If that pricing is correct, we'll be getting this at a steal of a price!

Thank you for your opinion... what would you pay for it if you were in the market?

Well, we bought a '99 34' National Dolphin Feb '11. 40,000 mi, 3 yo tires, 2 yo trojan batts, slide toppers, new awnings (4), 2 ACs, corian counters, camera, 5500w genny. Looked great and everything worked. $20,000 and we know we got a good deal.
I don't know this MH or have seen it. However, if it checked out good, I probably wouldn't pay over $25000. Guidlines are just that. Depends more on how anxious the owners are. I just sold my $25000 boat for $18,000 just to get rid of it, payments and storage.

It's a nice looking coach but,I would have to agree with Vincee. Price it at about $23/$24 and I suspect you may have to accept less than that. Probably the best you will get is around $20. It's a buyers market. The higher you price it the longer you will have it and, the longer you have it the more it will depreciate.

Realistically, the dealer should be happy to sell if for $20K in today's market.

I'm sorry, I should have made this a little clearer (although I do hearing this side as well) but we are looking to buy this motorhome and wanted to see (pretending you were in the market for one) how much you would pay.

I'd go $22k tops and start at $20k. Slides do not need a topper. How old are the tires? Have the unit completely serviced...engine, generator and transmission oil changed, coolant changed, chassis lubed and brakes checked for any amount over$20k.

I'd offer 18K depending on how it rides, service records and if it is diesel 22k. But I'm cheap- only paid 9500 for my current rig and that was 3 years ago.

We are test driving it next Saturday although he did fire it up for us when we looked at it last weekend. I believe he said he has service records (se we'll take a look at those) and its gas.
Its kind of nice that it looks like we'd be getting a GREAT deal, but then again its a huge difference (like 50% less) which leaves me wondering... is there something that we're missing or is he just giving us a good deal cause he wants to downsize & we're friends of a friend???
