What's Your Set Up ??

A couple years ago we installed a 30 Amp service at our home. Initially we used a 30 amp GFI reset-able breaker. Before long we found that the breaker would trip. One friend suggested that there was an issue with the coach. After plugging the coach into a non GFI breaker everything was fine. At that point we switched the breaker to just a normal 30 amp breaker. We have since purchased a new to us unit and wonder if we should try the GFI breaker again.

I'm curious what others are using. Non GFI or a GHFI.

If you have friends who make you laugh, spend lots of time with them.

I'd try the GF plug again a new one that is not the same one. It does not seem to take much to make them trip.

Normal 20 amp breaker with a normal 30 amp plug.

The plug is 6' from the breaker and the rv's heavy gauge cord plugs directly in to it.

The further away from the beaker, the heavier the loading. Smaller gauge extension cords stretched out any distance also will add loading to the breaker and strain the AC compressor motor.
