I have a friend looking at a 2002 Beaver Monterey. I know that beaver had different tiers of quality, can anyone tell me where the Monterey fits into the line-up and whether the 2002 unit is a quality coach?

Thanks !

I believe Beaver was a Safari product thru 2001 although the exact assumption date by Monaco I am not certain of. You can be certain Beaver was a Monaco product in 2002. Here is a list of their products in the 2002 year:

Beaver Motorcoaches - Luxury Motorhome Manufacturer

Yes, Beaver was owned by Safari for several years before both became part of the old Monaco in 2001. The 2002 Monterey is essentially a Safari design, using the Safari Magnum chassis. A good buddy of mine has a 2002 Monterrey he bought new in early 2002 at the Monaco Owners Eastern US rally. It's a nice coach wiht a Cat engine and has served him well.
