Where Advertise Class A?

Which is better for selling my '08 Winnie 35J: RVT.Com or RVTrader.com? Or both?

I know someone will say Craig's List. It seems sketchy to me but I'll keep it in mind for last option. Thanks in advance. Steve

I have used RV Trader and Craigslist to sell my previous two coaches. Both generated good prospects.

Why not advertise right here too?
http://www.irv2.com/rvclassifieds/index.php?cat=3

We listed our previous RV on every free site available to us (there are a bunch of small ones besides RV Trader and RVT).

The RV sold to a buyer who found us thru Craigslist. We wanted max exposure.

The sale is done (or should be done) in-person. How the buyer finds you is irrelevant.

Expect there will be "tire kickers" that spend their day wasting your time. The only alternative is consignment or trade-in. For that, you gotta decide if you want all the sale money, or if your time is worth the difference the dealer will take.

Just ignore the obligatory e-mail from the middle-east sheikh who wants your RV, sight-unseen and will pay you more than asking price, if you just return part of his check for more than agreed - or similar scam offer.

Best luck

FWIW, all our motor homes were purchased either directly or indirectly through Craigslist. However, we looked at a few really crappy units before we found what we wanted last time!

Thanks all. You folks and my daughters are beating me up about Craig's list. Guess I'll devote some time to that today. Still interested in RVT.com vs RVTrader.com. Again, thanks for all the suggestions.

I would use RVTrader and Craigslist. Just be prepared for the scammers on Craigslist! Also, don't forget the free Classifieds here on IRV2!

I would specify in the ads that you will only accept a direct transfer of funds between their bank and yours, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Agree

Key is to clean it up - inside & out - stage it and take lots of good quality photos to post.

Also do the research on all of the sites mentioned to find similar ( maybe +/- a little) year make & model units for sale to compare ask prices. You won't know what it sold for on most but figure less
A well priced unit will sell much faster than a hi priced unit willing to negotiate

I use NADA values but do think they are on the high side and price accordingly.

Good luck w/ the sale.
