We have a 2017 Newmar Ventana 4369 with a Whirlpool fridge. After dewinterizing the fridge runs but does not cool. The model is WRF560SEY05 french doors w/ bottom freezer. The unit has power and I can hear it running continuously. Just wondering if anyone out there has had similar problems with this whirlpool model. I have a repair guy coming to look at it tomorrow, should be covered under the extended warranty. Very disappointed its just over a year old.

A month after we purchased our coach in August last year the Whirlpool refrigerator would run for about ten seconds then cycle off for about 15 seconds then repeat the cycle over and over without cooling. We have the freezer on the bottom and a single door on top but I'd guess the innards are probably identical. I believe our model is WRB322DMBM.

We took our coach back to our dealer and they had a Whirlpool tech come out and replace a $25 sensor/relay that they said commonly fails. Bummer was that our extended warranty only covered the Whirlpool repair but they wanted to charge $600 to remove/replace the fridge from it's mount. I got them down to $350 but they left a mess and a kicked in furnace grate. You can bet our coach is not going to see the inside of their service bay again. (It was not a Tiffin dealer.)

But the refrigerator is working great!

Before the tech get there figure out how to get the refrigerator out of it's cabinet. That may required building a cart of some type if it is not mounted on the floor. I would have the refrigerator in the middle of the galley before the tech arrives.

If you hear it running but it doesn't cool, the cooling system has lost its charge and the compressor isn't doing anything. Or you are just hearing the internal fans. In any case, you need a Whirlpool fridge tech and he needs access to the fridge, so do what iLvmygt suggests. Residential fridge guys don't do built-ins willingly. Most simply refuse to touch them if they are not accessible.

The brand new Whirlpool Gold fridge in our stick house simply corroded away inside when left turned off for 5 months, even though cleaned out and left with door open. The fridge tech said to leave it running non-stop to avoid that and we have done so ever since when we travel for the summer.

Be aware that Whirlpool will likely deny warranty coverage since it was a built-in installation - they have a disclaimer about that.

I just had the same issue troubleshot over 6 months....Last March I couldn't get the ice maker to make ice after a replacement of the front furnace they had to remove the refrigerator. Thought something was wrong with the ice maker. Well, then a couple trips later the frig (Whirlpool freezer on top residential frig) part wasnt cooling but the freezer was fine. Service tech comes and replaces the fan motor inside the fridge, didn't have to move it, and boy howdy does the ice maker work triple time now!! Filled the bin in less than 24 hours! So if your ice maker isn't working, or it and the refrigerator portion, try listening for the FAN....it's a quick and evidently common problem....
