Too many variables for one person's answer to be applicable to you. Do your own research and know what your credit scores are as they vary with the different credit rating companies. Interest rates may also vary by the amount that you are borrowing and the payoff time. So, this will depend on what you are purchasing and what percentage of the price you will be financing. And, make sure there is no penalty for early pay off and the ability to pay additional amounts toward the principal.

When we purchased our Bay Star, the loan interest rate provided by the dealer was as good as what I could find on my own. But the only way to really know is to do your own research, which isn't that difficult via the internet.

When I bought mine, I looked at banks and credit unions. The best deal ended up with a credit union. I would suggest you look at a few of each.

I though everyone here pays cash for everything they have?

That is what I read on most forums.

A couple weeks ago we were quoted 4.49% from Bank of the West through a dealer. It was for a 20 year loan with 20% down. That was about 2% lower than our credit union for an RV loan. We both have 800+ credit scores.

Our deal fell through for unrelated reasons.

Whatever rate you could get would be affected by your credit score, length of loan, down payment, age of motorhome, etc. So it's really not possible to say what your rate could be.

Not sure why, but Dealers had the best rates when I was shopping. I belong to some great banks and credit unions, but their rates for RV's were not good (6%+).

I found that I was able to negotiate an interest rate when I was negotiating the RV (at the same time). So, dealers can do better.

BTW - Lazy Days interest rates were some of the worst I found when shopping. Most dealers were able to get less than 5% on a 20 year loan for a 10+ year old DP motorhome.

Your credit score makes a HUGE difference on RV Loans.

Again - I was in the market two years ago, and things may have changed (But I doubt it....).

Depends on your credit history, and rating. Same bank/CU's will give different rates to different people. Let them know you are shopping around. If you have ~800 score you will do well.
