Who is the better driver

We just brought home our new HR from Florida. Now this is not a question that is going to be debated. Just a straight answer. Now we have pulled trailer, fifth wheel, Class C Motorhome over the years. This was our first time each for driving the Class A for a long period. Now my wife took to it like a duck in water and me, Well I was the duck under water. So I was curious who drives your rig better, you or your partner. I have to give it to my wife.

Even Bill Gates doesn't have enough money to get my wife to drive the MH!

We share evenly. She likes to drive through built up areas, I do too but on the interstate I am fine just kicked back at 62-65mph.

Backing up, whole different story, that is my game, not hers. Backing out of the garage in her car she has hit my 2 different trucks 3 times (2 on 1, 1 on the other).

My wife uses the imaginary foot brake and the imaginary e brake handle from the pass seat! They really never have slowed or stopped the coach!

Me, my wife doesn't drive. It's not that she can't, but at 4'8" it's tough for her.

She drives just fine as long as she does not have to reverse it & she does not like driving anything that even resembles urban driving. She is much better at driving the rural western (boring) roads. She is also a good navigator. Put a radio in hand & she is an excellent spotter for even the tightest of sites.

Our truck also apparently has a brake pedal on the passenger side though I have yet to find it.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

But she thinks she's the better driver.

+2

I watch her pull her 13' long car out of the driveway and turn onto the street too soon, bouncing the back wheel over the curb !

You think I'm putting her behind the wheel of 67' of coach and towed !

I drive our car or Class A RV because my husband is legally blind.

Transparency requires me to add that while I am behind the wheel, I am not “in management”. That role my husband claims from the copilot seat. He is talented! He manages the driving while being an excellent navigator.

He gets out and helps spot while I back up. If I just could understand his wild gestures.

We have great times traveling in our RV.

We're of the age that when we were both younger, it wasn't as popular for a woman to drive an RV or a semi. Consequently, I've been driving RV's and pulling trailers since I was 15 and she never did. There is no way at this time in her life or even in the last ten years, that she could have gathered the experience that I did over 50 years of driving large rigs.

She's not comfortable with driving, but had driven our Class A and Class C gassers for a short distance years ago. No way would she be interested driving 48,000 pounds of motor home and toad, and operating an engine brake on grades.

Lastly, my wife has nothing to prove and would rather be the passenger than the driver. In 50 yeas of driving, she's never had an accident, but it would never be restful to me (anal twit) having her drive the RV or even a car when I'm in it.

My wife enjoyed tooting the horn with the button I installed on her window sill. She had total control over those nasty people coming at her from the onramps!!
