Why buy a Tiffin

The answer CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were driving our Phaeton out of the Grand Canyon Park yesterday. The dog needed to go out. The step cover wouldn't retract. I have a bad knee. It would require me climbing out with the dog.

Called Tiffin customer service. Got a Tech rep who told me where to look for an air leak. Fixed step. Dog ok. Me ok. All this in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road. Time elapsed 10 minutes. This is what I call service. I was saved several times by these Tech experts with just a phone call.

Was your phone call to Tiffin during business hours or after hours?

I'm not retired and virtually all of my RVing is conducted after working hours, on the weekends and holidays.

Is Tiffen customer service available then?

In addition to customer service, my answers would be construction quality and storage. My Allegro RED is their entry level DP, and is certainly does not have the high end materials, but the construction is robust and well thought out. Also, in our coach the amount of storage is unbelievable.

I have owned three Tiffin motorhomes in the last 12 years and only once did I have to call after hours for service. I waited till the next day and the problem was handled promptly. If I needed an after hours number to call, I could have had one. Didn't think I would need one. I would much rather have a coach that did not need after hour service than one that required it.

Bet I'll get flamed for that last comment!!!!

I think getting answers during business hours is MORE than adequate. Glad to hear of your experience. I've only heard good things about Tiffin.
