Why is the TV right there!!

So in our search for our next coach we are looking for a class A 42-45 that has a bench dinette. Not a big deal plenty out there. The snag is that the wife wants to watch TV while I drive down the road to our next destination.
Most all that we have found hide the TV with the slide once it is in!!
I would like to get some recommends on floor plans that will not do this. We are looking at 2008 and up, and want to stay under the 200k mark.....
Thanks

The co-pilot seat offers an eight foot wide view of our beautiful country side (think Nature Channel) complete with recliner w/ foot rest. Save the tv for a rainy day at a camp area.

While I can not help you with floor plans I might be able to help you.. in other ways.

My Damon Intruder 377W has a TV in an overhead where the driver can, in theory, see it, so it has an interlock.

The TV-Multi-switch had provisions for THREE Tv's though.. (I only have two) so I went ahead and cabled up a TV-3, This one goes to a splitter feeding a cable just behind the passanger seat (I have a reason for that but its not often used) The Galley (Kitchen) Sink base, A basement cabinet and the half/bath (Which doubles as a radio room)

I can put a portable TV in the "Euro" chair (Swivel chair not to be sat in when moving) and that puts it directly across from the main couch and the pair of seat belts there located.

It is also behind the driver where it can not be easily seen.

The problem is the TV must either be where the driver can not see it
Or it has to be disabled (OFF) when driving.

IF police see you driving with a TV in your possible vision range, they can (And generally will if you are in an RV) ticket you. I do understand why, and why that is simply wrong, but,, Well, I am a retired police dispatcher so I know they WILL write the ticket.

I have seen some new class A that have the TV mounted on a slide. So when the sides are in you can slide the TV to the side enough to see the complete picture

Placated my DW with a laptop outputting DVDs to a 24" monitor on the top of the dinette table, which has seat belts. Of course, for the first 2 hours of any trip she is sitting there looking into her make-up mirror.

Don't be too concerned with where the factory puts a TV. It would be easy enough to install a table top or drop down or otherwise mounted TV that works for were your wife wants to watch TV.

Newmar had a floor plan (which I have) where the Flat screen tv is above the Dinette on the passenger side of the salon. Model # is KSDP or DSDP3910 with theater seating. Not sure how many years that was avalible and you can see mine is a 2006. Lots of stroreage with electric recliner in the driver side slide with seat belts. As you can see in my pics I replaced the older 26" LCD with a 40" LED TV. I used the same mount that came from the factory with little changes. I had to remove the cabinet garnish that was around the older LCD TV and it fit perfectly. The biggest problem was removing the old tube type that was above the dash and installing a cabinet to replace the hole that it left and matching the cabinet doors and finding a Flat screen to fit (Costco). (Note the new laminate floors in the one pic. Hate carpet.)
