I'm getting pretty tired of putting up and taking down the ugly Reflectix cutouts for my windows and then folding them up and stuffing them behind the driver seat. I'm not about to install thermal windows at a huge cost. Also tired of the large Reflectix going across the front windshield and large side windows and door. I'm traveling a lot and not parked for a long time in one place. So it is a daily routine of covering the windows, uncovering in the morning, storing, then packing up and leaving. Just my wife and I, so space is not tight in the 40' with a large basement, but cold weather driving is also a part of our trips.
I came across this idea while trying to search for insulated window shades or blinds or curtains:
Clever Mod for Cold Weather RV Window Insulation
I thought that was pretty clever, but not sold online. So I'm turning to best source of research, experience and knowledge about options that you all have been clever enough to figure out or discovered. Looking for the winner
If you have done something that you feel is worth promoting to others, would mind sharing a photo or two and explaining what you did and the benefits? I'm hoping to do this in the next couple weeks before we leave Montana and head south (weather permitting, of course.....I know, I know, should have left before winter...).
Looking for the front window/side/door curtain solution.
Also looking for the side windows that have decorative frames like in the link.
Skylights are easy. That is already done.
