Windshield electric shade

Just had a new electric windshield shade put in by my dealer after the old one bit the dust. However the dealer forgot to set it so that it would lower when the engine is running (it comes down 4 inches and stops, leaving me blinded in sunshine). With the engine off it will lower all the way and go up all the way. There is no remote, just a switch for either up or down on the dashboard. No other electric slides in the motorhome
Appreciate any ideas

The shade is set so it can't come down and cover the window when the engine is running if it's a solid blind. So the dealer has it set correctly for a solid blind. Is that what you have or do you have the glare reducing fabric one?
The limits can be reset but you need to download the instructions.
Also need to know the brand/model of the shade to go much further with helping you.

If you have MCD shades, Try Googling "MCD shade limit" and you should get access to owners manuals that have the procedures. I've had to reset my limits on a couple of occasions.

Good luck.
