Lightbulb Windshield Wiper Preservation Tip

Hi everyone, I see a lot of posts about wipers, their high cost and length of life.
I have 32” wiper blades on my Monaco Camelot and I know how they seem to wear out too fast, wipe poorly leaving streaks and are one of those nagging irritants to my coach maintenance. Most often, we don’t actually “wear them out” from use. They usually get mis-formed by laying on the glass all the time in storage and on the road. I figured out a simple way to get more life out of my blades while stored or parked in a resort.

I cut 2 pieces of 2 1/2” OD styrofoam pipe insulation. I cut mine to 4” in length and use them as risers for my wipers to keep them from deforming by being pressed onto the windshield and drying “folded over”.

Hope it works as well for you as it has fir me!

ps: I also use the wiper covers that came with my coach when I’m parked in the sun for any period of time!
