Winnebago

I have a 2005 winnebago vectra 40 foot long. All of sudden the speedometer started to act up it would just go up to 35 to 45 when I know I was going 60mph. I just do not know where to look. The needle is not stuck It will move but just up to 35 to 45 mph. Thanks for any help.

Is your coach on a Freightliner chassis ?

Do you notice any issues with the transmission shifting ?

I'm thinking the transmission in your 40' coach is at least an Allison 3000 series .
The trans would react to erratic speed sensor output with a code , that could be retrieved from the shift pad. PDF below .

For years the speedometers in vehicles have been electronic , and there is a very good possibility there are internal issues in the speedo head .
If you pay close attention to the odometer function , is the change of the miles readout accurate to the distance your covering ?

The output speed sensor may be acting up. It's one bolt that holds sensor to drive side of trans. Your symptoms match a shared utube vid.
