This seemingly contradictory info is actually quite simple to explain, because WBGO, and many other coach builders, often bought bare chassis with the shortest wheel base they needed for some models and then CUT and EXTENDED the chassis frame rails to make whatever longer wheel base length was needed for other model floor plans. Assuming this was done to yours, you should be able to see where the cut was made and weld-reinforced splices were added.

Not sure this info will help you find the correct length drag link, or not, but hoping it may help. Ed
Great info, Thank you. S is on my vin and it is 228 Wheel base, Cant see no splices in it . My frame could be older for all I know. And that cut sheet could be a generic speck sheet it was a copier printout sheet.

If your Vectra has a tag axle then the explanation is VERY likely what edgray described.
