Winnebago Forza 36G door shade

My black pull down door shade suddenly stopped retracting. Pull down with resistance and then won't go back up.
Took it off and can't see how to disassemble the mechanism to see if repairable.
It is a crappy design because when pulled down it is always under tension and if it slips off the lip on the door you put it in to keep it down it snaps up real fast.
Thinking of just replacing with an mcd black roller shades like on all the windows. Easy to pull down to any level and then with a slight pull it retract slowly. No more hunting for that lip to put the shade into.
Any thoughts?
