Winnebago Journey 34B

Trying to remove the frig. with no luck. I’ve removed all the screws I could find, even the ones in the top of the vent channel. That thing just won’t budge. Nearly passed out removing the screws in the vent channel.(ammonia) I’m going to install a residential style and could use some good suggestions. If I could just get that old one out of the cabinet. Norcold. Any suggestions.

Mine is not a Winnebago but I had to remove the grill from the furnace which is under the fridge and remove a couple screws from underneath.

There may be a couple of screws and angle brackets at the bottom rear. Check inside the vent cover on the outside.

Found this video for an older Winnie. refer removal and it shows a metal strap with screws accessible from the roof vent.

On many of the Norcold installs, they drove two screws through the frame at the rear base if the refer, into the wood below.

The Norcold also requires that you remove the face trim from the front of the refer. Once off, it will reveal where the refer is screwed into the frame, around the front edges of the refer.

I installed a Samsung 18 cubic foot into my sisters Itasca Meridian 34'. Below her Norcold was a bunch of electrical. There was a cover over the opening. If I recall, I shortened that cover, trim the frame some and reinstalled the cover, giving the additional height needed for the Samsung.
