Winter covers - 38 footer

Looking for advice on the best cover for a region that does see some snow. I think my coach is actually 39 feet in length. Thanks for any advice/experience.

Can't tell you the best, but i used covers for my coach for 7 years. Usually went through 1 a year. May have gotten 2 years out of 1. Depends on your wallet. I always kept my covers under $400 and many of them less than that. The better ones start at $500+. Whichever you get, be very gentle when putting it on. Cover known sharp areas with a piece of old carpet or something. I have ripped brand new covers. I vividly remember humping those suckers over my shoulder while climbing the ladder. I am so happy that I do not have to deal with that. I went to this. $2500. If you have room for it, I recommend it. This has withstood at least 50 mph winds.

We are using an Adco cover for a second year now that the previous owner had purchased several years prior.
So far it's holding up well in SE Michigan winters.

The important thing is to pad any sharp corners to prevent tearing. Then snug all the straps well.
It takes at least 2 people to put it on and take it down well. With 3 or 4 makes it even easier.

I use an Adco cover as well, same as LowFlyer and I agree fully with his comments.

Adco makes a few versions, I’m pretty sure we have the “All Weather” one, it’s going on it’s 3rd Vermont winter and is holding up fine.

8 years on my 1st Adco cover
Going on 5 years on my 2nd Adco Designer Series cover. Snow, blizzards here in Wisconsin

You've got to cover anything that sticks out.
I used pool noodles and scraps of foam packing material, the stuff popular before the days of bubble wrap.
I use twine to clamp the pool noodles or padding together.

Pad areas:

Rear bumper - if not molded into body
Rain gutter ends or extensions - Adco provides w cover
Anti Billow Arms (if your unit has them)
Top of ladder - Adco provides w cover
Generator tail pipe

Follow the directions to install
You don't have to carry the cover up the ladder.
Instructions say to attach a rope to cover attachment points, climb ladder w rope attached to your belt or have a helper toss rope to you, pull cover up onto roof once your up there. Spread out cover

I put the cover on, take it off by myself.

@Mile Marker 42 - Where can I get one of those slick-looking $2,500 covers, please?

Any place that sells tarps and canopies can help you. Where are you located? I'm in S. CA. A guy on Facebook runs ads selling these. He came out, measured, we talked and I gave him a deposit. He came back and installed this. 40 ft long. 14 ft wide, so all slides can open and peak height of about 14ft. I can easily work on the roof on my knees comfortably. These guys can help you if you want to buy online: https://www.a1tarps.com/. The tarp is heavy duty poly, not the cheap stuff from home Depot that deteriorates in the sun. Held on by lots of bungee balls. Every few months I replace some bungees. Love my tarp garage. Neighbor not so much. Let me know if you want to discuss?
