Just noticed you're from Traverse City. I think the worst part of your trip will be making it out of Mi. From there, it's MUCH easier to predict how the roads will be in front of you!

Snowy icy roads

I drove for 45 years all thru Canada in Oil Patch related work, down every ice covered hwy and goat trail you could imagine. I have also being to Michigan in the winter. I realize you have a schedule but personally I would NEVER take my MH out on a stormy icy day. I have seen to many wrecks, and most involving larger equipment were not pretty. Once you get it sliding or spin out your in a world of hurt. And if you are white knuckling it , pulling over on side of road makes you a target for those who are poor drivers even in dry conditions. Too me a big risk.
