Winter Storage
My MH is stored 5 mins from home, outside and uncovered. My concerns are related to batteries and other electrical elements. I’m in southeast Virginia. We have more 40 degree days than 30 through out the winter. Right now I have the inverter off. There is no shore power. I have 8 AGM batteries and a small solar panel. 2 6volt chassis batteries. The only draw on the system I have added is a dash cam. It is in PARK mode. Just keeping an eye on things. I also have my AGM on to keep the batteries topped off. Am I covering my bases-doing it right?

I'm a bit confused...your chassis batteries should be two 12v batteries, not 6v. What do you mean by, "I also have my AGM on to keep the batteries topped off." AGM is a type of battery, there is nothing to turn on....also they do not require any 'topping off.'

Concerns....why?
Sounds to me you're good to go.
As you know, there's no need for the inverter to be ON while in storage. But if it was turned ON this post would be going in a different direction for sure.
On a side note...I personally don't like the—outside and uncovered—part. But that's me.
God job.

Unfortunately some don’t have the option for covered or inside storage. I live in a condo and there are no covered or indoor storage options for a 41 ft MH anywhere near where I live. So mine is stored outside and uncovered too.

As long as your generator starts when need , you should be good. When I store mine outside for the winter , I disconnect the batteries ( remove cables) and just forget about it till spring. Temps this past couple of weeks have dipped down to -35 . Fully charged batteries will be just fine.
I wouldn't even attempt to start the generator in this weather.

I can't tell if you would really want indoor storage, but if so, keep looking and expand your search terms. You'd be amazed what you can find when you look for warehouse space, industrial condos, airport hangers, etc.

Yep- the chassis batteries are generally group 31 12v x 2
The little solar panel on the roof will do very little.... you can stop by harbor freight and get something more substantial to keep the bats topped off. Even with the salesman and chassis battery disconnect switches off, there are some items in the coach that remain connected and will drain the batteries given adequate time .

OK-I have decide to top off the batteries, shut off the automatic gen start and disconnect the batteries. SO....do flip the battery disconnect and remove the cables from both the chassis and coach batteries?
