Winterizing a residential refrigerator in 2011 Discovery
I have a GE side by side refrigerator in my 2011 Discovery that I'm trying to winterize without taking it out of the compartment. My manual says take the lines off the water valve at the back of the unit and blow water out of the valve. I think I would need a stick of dynamite to get the frig out of that compartment. I drained all tanks etc.and put 10 gallons of antifreeze in fresh water tank and ran the pump and open all valves until the pink came out. I ran water at the frig's door until pink came out. The ice maker filled up but never dumped ice. Can I assume the antifreeze maked it to the ice maker? If I do have to take the refrigerator out anyone know how to do that? Thanks for any help.
