Wiper switch access

Tried posting to National forum..looking for more response in this forum.
National 2008 Tropical/Freightliner woodgrain panel needs to be removed to access the wiper switch. The fuse test good but have not had any success removing the panel as suggested by responses so far.( Not held on by Velcro or the 2 screws on the front of the panel.) Could it held in by clips on the back side or something...any advice would be helpful at this point. See attached picture of panel.

Does the controller just turn or does it pull out? I't think it was held in a hole by a nut on a threaded shaft. Maybe the black ring with the 'Fast - Int time - Slow' will turn counter clockwise and loosen the switch. Or if the knob pulls out look under it for a nut.

Put your hand on the backside and feel the squeeze locks and push it out.

Dash panel removal

They grey top of the dash on the 08 tropical T33 above the speedometer and tach is mounted with velcro and can be removed exposing all the rear of the dash. The wood panel is mounted thru the dash on metal posts with fender washers and nuts. Removing those has the panel out from the dash and access to the wiper switch mounted to a bracket attached to the back of the wood grained panel. Wiper control is Dansco brand and limited avilability
